The 708-DS dissolution apparatus is a modular system designed for manual or automated dissolution testing. The instrument can be configured for use with baskets (Apparatus 1), paddles (Apparatus 2), paddle over disk assemblies (Apparatus 5), and rotating cylinders (Apparatus 6), and can accommodate vessel sizes from 100 mL to 2 L.
The rugged, yet versatile, 708-DS minimizes external variable influences and is designed for reproducibility and ease of qualification. The instrument is designed to meet or exceed the pharmacopoeial requirements of regulatory bodies around the world. This system includes the G7930A 850-DS sampling station and the G7986B Heater/ Circulator.
Features:
- Flexible sampling options: access to all vessels ensures quick, simple manual sampling through the evaporation cover port. Or, automate your sampling using the motorized manifold and the 850-DS dissolution autosampler.
- Accurately measure and record individual vessel temperatures manually with the optional handheld temperature probe or automate this process with AutoTemp in-vessel temperature monitoring.
- Automate your dosage delivery with the dosage delivery module (DDM), or simply introduce samples by manual insertion through the evaporation cover port. Using the DDM feature allows you to precisely drop samples simultaneously or sequentially at a predetermined interval.
- Customize your instrument with interchangeable dissolution accessory components. The common upper shafts support interchangeable baskets and paddles, yet maintain the correct height to save time when switching between configurations.
- Easily navigate the touch panel display to setup, store, and operate methods on the easy-to-read color display. The intuitive interface with screen-locking security features also offers multiple language options for English, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
- Hands-free evaporation cover suspension offers a simple way to add media to the vessels, manually sample and measure physical parameters. The evaporation covers automatically raise/lower with the apparatus drive unit using either the alignment posts or DDM assemblies.
- Ensure proper vessel alignment with the 708-DS TruAlign vessel. The incorporated plastic collar maintains accurate centering as well as ensures the vessel walls are perpendicular to the vessel plate. The indicator tab ensures reproducible vessel orientation.
- Decrease cleaning time with the angled water bath—makes cleaning easy and efficient.
- The easy-priming heater/circulator resides behind the water bath and beneath the vessel plate to save valuable bench space. It also contains vibration isolators to minimize vibration transmitted to the apparatus.
- Integrate with Agilent dissolution workstation software for automated control of up to four systems from one PC.
