The Varian Cary 50 MPR Microplate Reader is an accessory for the Varian Cary 50 UV/Vis Spectrophotometer and can accurately perform wavelength scans from 190 to 1100 nm in up to 384 samples in microliter volumes, in contrast to many dedicated plate readers that have limited scanning capability.
Used for a broad variety of applications, including pharmaceutical R&D, academic research, ELISA assays, hospital lab work and other applications that require rapid screening of high numbers of samples; the Cary 50 MPR is also key in DNA, RNA, and protein quantification and the measurement of enzyme reaction rates.
In addition to performing low volume, high throughput, non-destructive analyses, the Cary 50 MPR includes excellent temperature control, allowing measurements to be taken at precise physiological temperatures or easily adjusted for method development optimization.
The microplate reader accessory is controlled by simple, yet powerful, analytical software built on the outstanding Cary WinUV platform. The microplate reader software includes method parameters for targeted life science applications, such as wavelength scanning, kinetics, DNA and RNA concentration, and simple absorbance measurements.
