METHOD DEVELOPMENT
Having all the equipment in fully working state would get your lab ready, but building a proper method, followed by testing and tailoring it to your system and goals to get exactly what you are looking for, can be difficult and time consuming. Although some popular applications, have methods that are available for reference online or in literature, transferring and validating the methods in your system still requires efforts.
At Spectralab Scientific, we have a team of specialists that can take care of everything involved in the method, to have your project move smoothly. Simply let us know the details of your project and your analytes. Your team can come to our ISO verified lab and work with our specialist. We can provide your lab with analytical equipment at any budget. Our expertise will tailor the custom testing plan according to your best interest of your product and we will provide a comprehensive report includes all initial evaluations conducted, corresponding results, statistical summaries, as well as the finalized test method. All methods will be validated to ensure precision and accuracy of the end results, so that once set up, your lab will be ready to run samples.
Our method development services include the following fields:
Pesticides – Using high powered liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) as well as gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GS-MS/MS) to accurately determine concentrations of pesticides and herbicides with great sensitivity.
Heavy Metals – Using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) as this is the gold standard testing method for heavy metals. Our testing method will be able to accurately determine the concentrations of heavy metals in your cannabis, ensuring a quality product for consumers.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs and BTEX) – Using one of the most sensitive and common methods of VOC analysis with purge and trap concentration.
Moisture Content/ Water Activity – Using a Moisture Analyzer and Water Activity Analyzer
Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) – Using gas chromatography-electron capture detector (GC-ECD) to test PCB samples. This is because of its high sensitivity which is capable of detecting PCBs at minute concentrations.
Petroleum Hydrocarbons (PHCs) – Using either purge and trap or GC methods to determine PHC levels depending on the carbon ranges C6-C10, and C10-C28.
Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) – Covering PAH analysis of air, soil, water, sediment, tissue, and products. Our testing procedures incorporate techniques including GC and LC.
Foreign Matter – Using visual Inspection and digital microscopy.
Methods are validated according to:
ICH (International Council for Harmonisation) Guidelines: Validation of Analytical Procedures – Text and Methodology Q2(R1) November
WHO (World Health Organization) Guidelines: Appendix 4 Analytical Method Validation, September 2018
